Holiday Communiqué, Combat Arms Command, December 22, 2011
Happy Holidays, Soldiers!
As
the last edition of the Weekly Briefing for 2011, this one’s a little
bit different. In addition to our usual round-up of current events in
Combat Arms, we thought it would be fun to look back at the year and
chart all the exciting additions and changes that made 2011 so exciting
for our fans. If you’re up for some time travel, click the links below
to revisit posts from the past.
But first, we’d like to express
our gratitude and best wishes to the Combat Arms community. The entire
Combat Arms team works hard to bring you the free-to-play FPS possible
because we now you love the game as much as we do. Your support through
all the ups and downs of 2010 is what keeps us coming back to work day
after day to do all we can to keep you entertained.
Please enjoy the holidays and have the happiest of New Years!
See you in 2012!.
Events
We
love throwing events. Combat Arms isn’t just someplace you come to
shoot at random strangers on the Internet. It’s a community where we
take fun really seriously. Our events range from basic experience bonus
events to preview sales to the opportunity to play alongside Kalika and
other Nexon employees.
We’ve got a lot of fun stuff planned for 2012, but in the meantime, enjoy our current events:
If there’s one
thing we know about in Combat Arms, it’s guns! That’s why we love
bringing you all kinds of new ones along with new gear, and even the
occasional goofy device like our Thanksgiving Turkey Leg melee weapon or
the Yuletide Persuader. We also improved the contents of our Supply
Crates, guaranteeing that you would never again get a 1-day item!
Enjoy some exciting new tools before we get back to our gun forges in 2012!!
This is our second year of the Steady Shooter, our in-house strategy
and loadout guide. We settled down to a nice predictable rhythm,
bringing out an edition two weeks after adding a new map. This gave the
community time to get used to it and for some general strategies to
emerge. We also highlight fun new weapons to try and include a mix of NX
and GP equipment so everyone can enjoy themselves.
Expect some interesting new twists in the Steady Shooter in 2012! !
Fresh
content is the lifeblood of Combat Arms. One of our core goals as a
team is to continually bring out new maps to play on, new modes to play
in, and new ways to keep you coming back. This year certainly lived up
to that credo with new modes such as Hired Guns. The biggest addition this year was certainly Bubba Ares’ Gun Emporium. This brought activities like daily jobs, upgradeable and forgeable weapons, Roulette, and 5-shot. We also finally updated those old forums!
We
hope you’ve enjoyed all the new additions to the game. In 2012, we’ll
continue tweaking these features and looking for new ways to make Combat
Arms even more fun!
